Rated 2 out of 5??by RLab12 They don't make 'em like they used to!
I purchased mine early in the Spring of 2011, replacing a battle-tested Toro pushmower I had for 17 years. At the end of the first season, the Personal Pace drive feature became non-operational and it was almost impossible to push without it so I had to bring it in for a recall notice on the same (make sure you keep your receipt!).
Near the end of the second season, the bagger frame snapped making it very difficult to use. I just purchased a replacement bagger for this year.
When it's working, it's a decent machine, however, my spotty experience leaves me longing for my old one.

Rated 3 out of 5??by Sylentthunder Good Lawn Mower for the money
After getting it home for the first time, and filling it with gas, the 3 pull first start theory does not work ( and never has ). When you have been using it, after the first start, it does restart very easy 1 pull most of the times. It has cut everything but the tallest grass I have had so far ( 8" ) right off the bat first time, spring time after fertilizing- you get it....lol The biggest problem came after about 6 months of ownership, when the plastic housing for the wiring when you pull the handle down to allow the Toro to self propel and cut, snapped in half and would not allow any movement at all from the mower or the self propel to engage. Toro stepped up and the local authorized shop replaced it under warranty, I still think it is a cheap item and needs to be made of metal to withstand the action required of it. But overall has done exactly what I purchased it for.

Rated 4 out of 5??by JDTN A good mower for a good price.
I have used the mower 4 or 5 times this Spring it has done a great job. It starts almost first pull everytime. It has good power for my tall fescue and leaves very few clumps. it looks good and runs well, occasional rough idle. I love the deck washout, it does a great job.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Gary1 Good product
I am impressed by the overall performance of this mower. I am into the second season using the mower at this point. Unlike some of the reviews I have read, I have not had any problems with the rear wheel drive climbing my reasonably steep back yard. The mulching capability is better than my older Craftsman mower. To be fair, the Craftsman mower was not sold as a mulcher but was converted via a mulching blade. As advertised it always starts by the second pull. Time will tell if it continues starting the same. I deducted one "ease of use" star because of a noticeable drag when pulling the mower backwards almost to the point of being uncomfortable. I noticed the same drag when pulling a Honda mower backwards in the store. I suspect it is caused by the drive belt not fully disengaging. I love the blade disengagement feature without killing the engine. I use it quite a bit when propelling the mower without running the blade or when emptying the bag. Overall, I highly recommend this model.

Rated 2 out of 5??by redhead99 Started great first year but not after.
No way to choke it to get it to start if you wanted to. It started great the first year now second year and nothing but trouble. The plastic holder for the cable to engage the blade broke when my nephew mowed my yard the first year I had it. Took it to the shop and they fixed it under warranty but has not started well after they fixed it. Don't think it is worth my time to take it back for the starting issues.

After 3 months of buying it the gas deposit leaked and had to be repaired. I only used it four times.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Ron4 Features easy to use.
Excellent product. Ease-in-starting lives up to advertising. One suggestion, engineer a sheer pin in the shaft so that when the blade hits a hard object the entire shaft does not bend and completely ruin the machine. Not all users can have perfectly clean, well manicured lawns where they can see every possible thing in front of them and have to mow places where it is difficult to see every possible hazard. I ruined the first of these in less than two years in this way. The machine's so good that I bought the same thing but I don't want to buy a new one every two years or so.
