The Kohler enigne sucks oil from the crankcase into the carburetor because of the emission control feature. This causes the engine spark plug to foul and stops the engine. I took this mower back and picked up the same mower with the Briggs & Straton engine. Now I'm perfectly satisfied!

like what i bought, reliable usage. like hose attachment cleaning, only downside is the carburator is not constant. i use only good gasoline but still won"t run smoothly. mower is only 10 months old.toro could use a better fuel filter. maybe use some gumout on occasion. great buy for the money.

This is a great lawn mower to own, it makes mowing very easy. My only problem with the mower, well, actually, it's not with the mower but with the catch bag, grass started flying out right at the top where it connects to the mower, so after doing a little McGyver fix-up, I've contained most of the grass in the bag, with some still finding its way out. Other than that I would highly recommend this mower to anyone looking for a new helper in the fight for the green!!!

I'm definitely impressed how the mower starts in one pull of the cord. No matter what time of day, it will start. Also goes over rugged terrain with ease, and minimal effort, with help from the self-propelled feature. All you have to do is steer. Also, is quieter than many other lawnmowers I've used in times past. I guess in one word. Reliable.

The first time I used this mower I cut 12" high weeds in my mothers back yard. I placed the side discharge attachment on it and it cut these high weeds with ease. It discharged the cut grass and weeds like butter, even when I used the self drive feature and it did not clog. I use the basket attachment to mow my lawns and it works flawlessly. It literally pulls it's way up grades when i engage the self drive.
So far it has always started on the first pull even after sitting in my garage for a month or more without use.
Another neat feature is the hose attachment, which allows me to run water into the blade and housing while the motor is running, it really cleans the grass cuttings and dirt that used to build up on my previous mowers. Now I can store the mower in my garage without having grass cuttings on my garage floor.
I made a great choice when I purchased this mower!!

i have never had a mower which has excellent handling and easy to operate. The workmanship is excellent and fun to use. i would recommend the machine to any one.

This is my 3rd Toro mower, my last 2 were simply worn out after years of use. I can always find replacement parts and make all repairs myself. I live on 3 acres and use my Toro's for mowing every week. I could use a riding mower but would rather get my exercise while I am mowing. I mow everything with my Toro's from regular lawn to high grass and usually just change the blades and do regular maintenance. Great product.
