Rated 3 out of 5??by Gary622 I would recommend it if you do not bag the clippings
Overall it is a good mower. It does start as promised within 5 pulls It diid that even when I had some bad gas in it. THe width is right.
But it has two issues.
1. The size of the rear bag is the same size as the grass clipping bags used to recycle the clipping.
It is very inconvenient to dump the grass out of the catcher into the paper bag because it is the size. Much of the grass falls out of the paper bag. The grass catcher's mouth should be at least an inch smaller would make it ideal.
2. The self pace is generally convenient to use, except when you have to turn around. It gets in the way. It would be better if there was a manual override.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Herm Nice mower well worth $
This mower is top notch. It's quite, fast and easy to operate. I use other brands but none come close. The only complaint is the gas cap is hard to put on/off. Well worth money.

Rated 5 out of 5??by McMurrayMan Overall excellent design
Generally, this is an excellent mower in most respects. It starts more reliably (fewer pulls) than my old Toro mower. Having a side discharge chute is also a plus, compared to my old mower.
The one design flaw that I have experienced is that the cover for the air filter won't stay in place - it pops open a couple of times a month. It will not lock in place. This is not a serious problem, but it is annoying.

I PURCHASED THE 21" (53 cm) Personal Pace?? 3-in1 (20381)
THINKING IT WOULD BE THE MOWER! BUT NO MORE! THE DRIVE SYSTEM IS ABLOULTLY THE WORST I HAVE EVER USED.
IT WILL NOT RELEASE TO ALLOW THE MACHINE TO BE PULLED BACK. 100% FRUSTRATION. MY WIFE CAN NOT USE THE TORO MOWER. I PAID $600.00 FOR A POOR DRIVE SYSTEM! NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG, I LIKE MOST EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE TORO. BUT THAT DRIVE SYSTEM OVER RULES THE GOOD. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER TORO UNTIL ---- FREEZES OVER. I THINK I'M PRETTY SAFE WITH THAT STATEMENT. PS. MY DOG 'JACK' DOESN'T LIKE IT EITHER.

Rated 4 out of 5??by mrpublic great mower
The only thing I don't like is that it surges a little while using it for the first two to three minutes. The auto choke must have to warm up then it stops surging. My dad bought one just after I purchased mine and his doesn't do it as bad but mine is the model with the Honda engine. My last mower was a Toro and it ran perfectly for 15 years then decided to get this one. Still got $200 for the old mower and I am sure it could have gone many more seasons. My dad replaced his Toro and it was 23 years old. Great mower but like anything... Do the regular maintanance and they can last a long time! Love the personal pace!

Rated 2 out of 5??by Sonnyboy Easy to use and cuts the lawn beautifully
Easy start regardless of storage time. Very light to handle and effortless to walk behind. Handle release mechanism is a snap and allows for quick and easy storage. Only two improvements come to mind. The deck height is adjusted individually per wheel instead of a single lever adjusting all. Secondly when the need to pull the mower backwards it occasionally does not disengage the gearing, resulting in a partial locked wheel sensation.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Gregory Love Toro mowers
The mower still runs great and cuts very nicely. It took a little time to figure out how to get it out of gear when trying to pull it backwards. Disengaging the forward motion while still allowing the mower to move forward a few more inches seems to allow it to move backward more freely. Other than that, it has been a great mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 one of the best lawn mowers i have every bought
this lawn mower the super recycler always starts , mulches very well, and the auto walk behind selp propreel works wonderfully
Additionally, its very quiet and uses a lot less gass than my old mower (which used two taks to do my lawn). The tore has the same size tank and uses about three fourths of a tank
