Bought the Toro becasue it had a longer wand than others in the same price range. I bought a house and the previous owners had let things slide. The bushes were up against the house and windows. I'm sure it was years since they were trimmed. I tore into them not knowing how the Toro would do. It held up great even though I was abusing it for its size. I've only had it for a year but so far I'm impressed for it size and it being an electric model.

Equipment works is strong and sharp enough to cut 1/2 inch branches quickly making it easy to keep hedges neat.
