Technology has made these so much lighter and the fact that it has no cord makes these very easy to go anywhere in my yard....

Admittedly, I've only used the trimmer a couple of times so i cannot comment on the long term. However, being it's cordless and a bit longer than my old corded WeedEater, I can say it is much easier to use than my old WeedEater. Nice safety switch that does not wear your hand out keeping the switch activated. Swiveling cuttng blade in relation to the handle is a nice feature. Overall, I've very happy with this unit and would recommend to anyone.

Received my trimmer this last fall and only wanted to trim the bigger, over grown branches on my bushes for the winter. It surprised me how light weight and how nice it cut thru the bigger branches. It will get the big task of doing the final trimming after the cold winter season is done. It impressed me so that I ordered another one excatly like it for a Christmas present to give to my son. He had watched me use it but never expected one for his own. Now there are two familys with great units for yard use.

I bought this when my brother-in-law misplaced my Echo gas trimmer. Due to the size of my yard, corded trimmers are not an option. This trimmer performs pretty much as well as the gas one. The gas one has been found, but when I need to trim, I reach for this one. It's lighter, easier to use, and does the job. Another advantage: my wife could never get the gas one started, but all she has to do is turn this one on. I haven't had to replace one yet, but the ion batteries are really expensive.
