Rated 1 out of 5??by LawnBoy Poor design and terrible quality
after a half days use the engine would not start again, the pull cord was stuck.
When mowing high gas the engine would stall.
From a design standpoint a 30 inch mower needs a larger gas tank and larger grass catcher. This eats away at the time savings I was expecting from a 30 inch mower. I had to stop more than I expected to empty the bag and was unable to complete mowing my lawn without having to refill the gas tank.

At 2 hours of use transmission failed and had to be replaced. Heavy mower, should have front caster wheels, hard to maneuver - you better be stouter than average and in good health. The deck is a pain the way grass builds up, I have had to stop three times in a 15,000 sq. foot yard to clean the deck so it will keep bagging and stop puking clumps of ground grass on my lawn. Clean out plug is a does not work. Mower hard to start after I have it tilted to clean the grass build up off after it quits bagging, blows blue smoke for a bit. I end up with green hands and arms from cleaning the plug chute and underside of deck off.
But I do like the 30" cut and the lawn looks nice when I am done. Hoping by mid summer grass will be drier and the mower will not build up so badly.

Rated 4 out of 5??by OnTrak Great for some, but not for my lawn.
I purchased this Toro product in May 2012 and gave it a very favorable review. But as the season progressed to fall, I became less enchanted with it. My house sits on a half acre lot with about 13,000 sq. ft. of lawn and many shrubbery beds and 9 trees with their tree circles. While fewer cutting strips were needed to cover the lawn, much maneuvering is needed to complete the task. Due to the heavy weight of the mower, much effort is expended before completing the job than with my 21" Toro mower. Moreover it required 40% more gas. And hooking up the garden to clean the mower negated any time saved mowing the lawn. With the 21" mower I could simply tip the mower to scrape the deck of clippings.
I now realize that for my purposes, I should have purchased a new 21" or 22" Toro mower. The extra weight of the 30" mower makes it a bear to maneuver. And at the end of the season I found the washing system did not do a good job of clearing away the clippings.

Rated 3 out of 5??by JB10000Lakes Good for a 1st try; room for improvement
I was all lined up to by a commercial Toro when this model came out. With a 1/2 acre yard full of things that make using a rider impractical, I decided to give this unit a try. I would have to say, this mower does save you time and does a very nice job for a "first attempt" design--hence my rating, but also with the caveat that they will fix the shortcomings as the design matures.

Our front lawn is on a hillside and large! It's a pleasure using this machine to mow that lawn! Sure makes it easy!

Rated 5 out of 5??by keno Versatile and maneuverable timesaver
I've used my machine most of last mowing season, and it has worked very well for me. I like the personal pace drive a lot and have found the mower as easy to get around as any smaller machines that I've had in the past. It almost always starts on the first pull, is quiet running, and very easy to operate. The only issues that I have with this mower is that I would like to see a larger gas tank and that the cut is compromised when the grass gets somewhat longer. This mower is not perfect, but it sure has done a lot of work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5??by jojo2559 Mows as well as any commercial mower.
I bought this mower to use in place of a 44 commercial walk behind for my larger lawns that were of a great drivin distance so I could just load into back ofmy truck on ramps. Works great and does just as good of job as the commersial 44 mower and does a beautiful job as far as the look of the lawn afterwards. Will definately buy a nother one.

Rated 4 out of 5??by Dan123 Had a little higher expectations
Purchased this mower from a local major retailer last summer. Was really excited about mowing the lawn in less time. I must say it works awesome on the flat part of our lawn. We have two banks on our property that I like to keep mowed. After using it about 6 times the drive belts/mechanism is now slipping from pulling its own weight up the inclines. I didn't realize that this mower is mainly recommended for flat well manicured lawns. It does start easy and I love the feature of turning the blades on and off while it is running. Oil changes are pretty simple. If you have a smooth flat lawn, this is the mower for you. I wouldn't recommend it for mowing inclines.
