This is the worst mower I have ever used. After a year the drive belt broke. Two months later the drive system stopped working and I had to fool with the cables to get it running again. And every two months I encounter the same problem. Now it takes 8-10 pulls to start. Also, on my old TORO, which lasted 25 years, I could stop the blade to empty the bag while the motor was running. With this dog every time I stop to empty the bag, the motor stops and I have to get a hernia to start it again!
Buyer Beware! Do not buy any TORO Recycler mowers as they are garbage. I paid over $350 for mine which is three years old and I am ready to junk it!

Rated 4 out of 5??by StrawberryKid This mower is the best I have ever owned, but I learned a few tricks to help in its operation.
With this mower I am able to drop the wheels down a notch and still navigate my St. Augustine grass with no problem. The mower feels light to the touch and doesn't bog down in high grass.
When bagging grass or leaves on a dry day, when dust is ready to fly, the retrieval bag exhausts dust and dirt in the air in all directions to properly vent the bag. I have to wear a dust mask when I bag leaves and grass, leaving my clothes and arms dusty in the process. Some bagging designs have flaps on the side of the bag, forcing dust down toward the ground. Toro should fix this design flaw.
While bagging heavy leaf deposits under my oak trees I have to stop and restart my mower each time I empty the bag. I discovered that when I stop the mower and press the drive bar down for two or three seconds the restart is instantaneous.
Fix that bag design and your product is closer to perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5??by HarryH Personal Pace 22" Good BUT .......
Been using Toro for several years. Engine always starts w/no problems. Parts easily available when needed.
Only "very" weak link is the front/rear wheel drive design. They go thru the 15T steel gear pinions at an unreasonable amount of time. The plastic spline on the wheels break. Front wheels wear at mounting bolt, they should have a bushing installed because plastic hub wears out and wheels wobble. Redesign those areas engineers & I'd give you a 5 star rating. Cost to do that would be small.

Rated 1 out of 5??by Chuck27 This product won't run on today's gas.
Needed is a mower with a motor that can contend with ethanol enhanced gasoline. Thsi one isn't it.

OI have always bought Toro lawn products as well as snow products. Are the best items for the markets they support.

Rated 5 out of 5??by LindaLou Great mower
The mower is fantastic but it takes awhile to get used to the automatic adjustment of the self propelled. It seems like it will break. When I lift it to turn it around it just is weird. I am old school I guess. But the mower trims the lawn perfectly.
