Toro's Return Policy

The goal of is to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for some reason you are not satisfied and need to make a return, most items can be returned within 30 days of purchase for full credit less shipping unless return is due to a Toro error. Items must be in their original packaging. (You can NOT send back any product that has been fueled, even if it has been drained.)
Note: Some product/parts are not returnable, even within the 30 days. A non-returnable product/part is identified as such in the product description.
Credit should appear on your credit card statement within four weeks of return. You will be notified via email once credit is processed.
To return a product, log in to and click on Your Orders at the top or bottom of the page. Click on the View Order Details for the order on which you need to make a return. The system will then guide you through the process of generating a return and supply you with a return mailing label to print.
For "Guest" purchases click on Your Orders at the top or bottom of the page. Enter your Order Number and Email Address. This will bring you to your Order Details page where you can create your return.
Note: Items returned without the RETURN LABEL on the outside of the package will delay processing.

Return FAQs 

Are all items returnable?
No, there are a small number of items for which does not accept returns. They include but are not inclusive of:
  • Hazardous items that are gas-powered or contain flammable liquids (These items will say "This item is not returnable" on the product detail page.)
  • Manuals/Publications (These items will say "This item is not returnable" on the product detail page.)
  • Any product missing the serial number or UPC
How long do I have to return a product? 
If you need to make a return for any reason you have 30 days after placing the order.

How long will it take for me to receive a credit once I return an item?
Credit should appear on your credit card statement within four weeks of return.

May I return items purchased on to a local retailer? 
Toro products purchased on need to be returned to Toro directly via the return process on
If you have purchased a gas powered product, such as a gas walk power mower, gas powered snowblower or zero turn mower, these products need to be returned to the dealer you selected on when you made your purchase.  You can find the dealer you chose on the receipt you received with the product or in the Your Orders link at the top or bottom of the page, then click on the View Order Details and the dealer's information will be populated in the header of the site.  
Note:  If you have used an item or put fuel in it, it may not be returned.
Gas Powered Products that arrive damaged due to shipping must be reported to Toro within 48 hours of delivery with pictures of the damage via email to so Toro can work with you to resolve the problem.
The manufacturer's warranty protects your purchase should a manufacturing defect be identified requiring repair. Your selected dealer chosen at time of purchase will be happy to assist in inspecting and repairing your product.

Will I be reimbursed for my return shipping costs?
Toro will pay the return freight if you received a defective or wrong product.  The return freight credit is based upon the value of the product.   You are free to choose any method you prefer to return the product (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, etc.).  The amount you receive for a credit is listed below.
